Nice is Not Enough: Anti-Racist Practice for White People
1:00 PM – 4:00 PM PDT
Join Dr. Robin DiAngelo, author of the bestselling book White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk about Racism.
Many white people who are committed to racial justice ask: How do we work through our personal barriers and create and
carry out effective actions for change?
This half-day session is for white people who have a general understanding of whiteness and systemic racism and seek to
deepen their anti-racist analysis and practice.
- Engage in emergent dialogue about their own development and identity as white racial justice changemakers.
- Deepen their ability to identify internalized white supremacy and challenge white complicity.
- Explore common white progressive patterns, based on Dr. DiAngelo’s new book to be released in July – Nice Racism: How Progressive White People Perpetuate Racial Harm
- Have an opportunity to directly engage with and ask questions of Dr. DiAngelo
Registration fee: $200. Post- production proceeds from this half-day online program will go toward The Center for Healing and Liberation, a Black woman-led initiative (paying above the registration fee if possible is appreciated and will increase support for the Center).
